About

This user interface with autocomplete functionality, provides a keyword based search in any kind of dataset. Each keyword accepts assigned attributes which are suggested by the application. By this approach there is a definite match in a dataset.
Keyword suggestions come from the dataset as well as the field assignment. Unassigned keywords (default property) will be matched against all fields.
A user does not have any idea about the internal data structure, so the application responds in an intuitive way, that the user creates meaningfull search requests.

This is a fullscreen pop up implementation for presentation purpose with limited mobile capabilities. There is no filtering and faceting available for demonstration purpose. And the search request will not be sent. Instead there is a display given with data properties per serch term.

Functionality

The search client communicates via the RESTful api with a backend service (real data mode). Multiple frontend implementations are possible.
This experimental frontend application provides an autocomplete implementation with keywords.
Each keyword can be associated with one primary attribute (datatype) and one subattribute (boolean) via this interface. This is useful for research in categorised data with multiple fields as of library catalogue data, product data, address data aso.

Development

This user interface is under further development and will be permanently improved and extended. It uses real library catalogue data for an authentic search experience and for demonstration purpose what can be done with categorised library data.
